These sketches aim to develop a unique style in order to showcase a wider array of information that regulates the experience of any space. Sarkhej Roza and various other monuments of Ahmedabad were the selected model for this intervention, these drawings provide the necessary documentation, validating the need for revitalization projects along these heritage sites.
The monochrome theme enhances the sense of contrast associated with architectural features, irrespective of there visual appearance. Explaining the role of contrast in the experience of architectural aesthetic was the bigger goal of this series.
These sketches not only show the street enclosure, but also the overflow of activities onto the street. The uncontrolled urban sprawl draws attention to neglected heritage spaces, which are slowly loosing grounds against unprecedented growth caused due to functional obsolescence.
